Ootheca with no mommy

I fed my chameleon a roach the other day which he took head-first and with the first chomp, a big ootheca shot right out of her butt. Is it possible that nymphs could still come out of this ootheca?

Just had to laugh at the thread hahaha:D.

I needed that!!! That is the funniest thing i have heard today. Must have been a sight to see.

Yeah it was a Dubia... I picked it up and threw it in my roach bin anyway. If it DOES hatch, I'd rather it happened in there than outside on my balcony! I don't really pay much attention to what goes on in the bin though, so I was just curious.

You know what..Im gonna say Yes because I had something similar happen and I cant find the sac anywhere! The mom rounded an egg carton fast and it broke the sac off and I decided to leave it in because there were little white things in it..and I found baby roaches a few days alter and no sign of a shriveled sac.. thats just my thought..:) Im an optimist. (more than likely the crickets or roaches ate it and another female just happened to lay at the same time..but who knows!)

definite answer is no, it won't hatch.

I've had roaches start popping baby roaches after getting attacked by some of my animals(tarantulas). Kind of a desperate last attempt to put out your genes.
