I have caught my guy in his basking area opening his mouth, not so much resting it open like i've seen my jackson's do on hot days, but more of like a open stretch almost blank yawn

his basking temp was a lil high towards the top and perfect everwhere else but he was going right for the top and doing this

i think he is fine but i thought i'd ask everyones opinion cuz he has also been waking up late the past few days, but seems to be alright and active, eating and drinking

it resembles a yawn but not really, he kind of opens his mouth as wide as possible and then turns his head back and forth and then closes it

the first time i saw this he was shedding so i thought he was just trying to break skin off

That sounds like a yawn to me but I couldn't be sure. My veiled stretches from side to side while he yawns in the morning, and ends it with a little violent shiver.

yea i just wasn't sure chams yawned as i've never witnessed it really in any of the species i've kept, but now that they're indoors i'm getting to witness a lot more of the daily habits and it very interesting to see what is basic behavior and how much personality chams can have
