opinion on hornworms

They are high in calcium and moisture and low in fat. The main drawback is low protein. However, they make a great addition to a balanced diet. My cham likes them whenever I can grab some for him.

My guys love them. The only problems I have is they grow so darn fast. I do the 1 day in the fridge 2 days out to slow growth but when I was just feeding one cham I ended up giving some away that outgrew my juvenile. I just ordered more so hopefully bigger boys will be able to eat them.

I put them in the frig at night and out during the day so that they warm up for the boys to eat them. I do that from the time they are close to feeding size until they are gone. Really slows them down.

Does it matter if the horn worm cup is upside down with the food up or not

yes, that way the poo wont be on the food (thats just gross lol) but make sure you prop it up on something so air can still get into the container. it would not be fun to find a bunch of dead hornworms.
