This thread will open a world of hurt for zoo-med. People hate these things for various reasons. In a smaller size enclosure it works perfectly fine. I have one and use it on the 3 hour setting with a 15 second duration and i really like how it works. You can adjust the nozzles to get the spray (it's def. not a mist that comes out, it's a spray). It's been good for my purposes, but you will hear alot of negative things about the Habba Mist.

I'm truly sorry that you bought it already. I made the mistake of getting one and it was a big disappointment. First of all the mist is more like a short spray. You can only let it run for 1 minute intervals where it would be better to run misters for 15-20 minute sessions. The reservoir is way too small. You have to fill it up twice a day in order to have it go on all day. There was a couple of things that I did in order to make it more useful to me. I increased the reservoir so it can last for a week and I added a longer tube so it can reach the top of the cage. I also connected it to a separate timer so now it goes off every 10 minutes for 1 minute at a time. I basically use it as a substitute for a dripper. I still hooked up a "real" misting system that goes off for 20 minutes 3 times a day.

The HabbaMist does not produce a mist; it produces an extremely course spray. It's made as cheaply as possible and the pump is incredibly loud as a result. The disapproval rate by forum members of this piece of gear is probably around 90% with most folks saying something along the lines of it being a waste of money.

You will do much better with a $2 spray bottle. It won't be automatic, but it will be a mist and your grip strength will vastly improve! I have read on here something about really small chameleons having trouble with large drops of water and the size of their nostrils, but I don't know the specifics.

Keep in mind that while Zoo-Med makes some incredible UV-B bulbs and other good stuff, they also make heatrocks and tons of other garbage herp products.

It's true that the habba mist is loud, and also can be inconvenient with having to refill the thing an whatnot, but I agree with this guy in the fact that it has pretty much just replaced the whole dripper idea for me too. I'll invest in a much better misting system someday, but until then the habba mist will do.
