Opinions

How often do y'all misting your Panther Chameleon with a automatic misting system or should I say have it set up for how long and how many times to misting? And what brand of supplements y'all recommend using. Thanks I would like to know your opinion.

The misting will vary depending on the enclosure and the weather where you live. You want to make sure your enclosure dries out between misting cycles so that it is not constantly wet. I have mine set up to mist every other hour for 2 minutes, 6 times a day with my Mistking. I am not sure if brand of supplements matters a lot but I use Rep Cal. Someone with more knowledge will probably give you a better answer than that. I have always been told that was a good brand so I always used it with my Iguana and will continue using it with my Chameleon.

I used to have mine going every other hour, for two minutes, but found my cage didn't get real close to drying in between, so switched to every 3 hours, so four times a day. I also use Rep Cal.

I live in Nashville, TN and have a 48×24×24 habitat. That's why I asked about the misting question because last time I was over watering my plants. And which of the Rap Cal is recommended Panther chameleons? And thanks for the response:D

You will want to get Rep Cal Calcium without D3 and one with D3. I also use the Rep Cal Herptivite multivitamin. The calcium with D3 and the multivitamin should be used once every two weeks and the calcium without D3 used every feeding.

If you're over watering your plants, you can 're pot with a 50/50 mix with sand and dirt. It will drain faster.

If you try sand, make sure its coarse, not fine. Fine sand will suffocate the roots and actually make drainage worse. You can also add perlite and pebbles to the lower part of the pot soil (don't leave it on the surface...some chams try to eat it). Also enlarge the pot's drain holes or pick a pot that has larger ones. Make sure there isn't standing water in the pot saucer if you even use one.
