Orchids?

So my grandpa is an orchid enthusiast and has a green house with over 750 orchids. This coming Saturday I'm going over to visit and he said that he'll let me have some to put in my terrarium but I do not know which ones will or will not be toxic towards chameleons. Any responses will help, thanks!

I've seen phaleanopsis, vandas, and dendrobriums in chameleon cages. Vands are a bit of a challenge to keep healthy in a chameleon cage, but the other 2 are pretty easy if you don't over water them.

Sounds like you just need to take over the greenhouse. I suggest camo and paintball guns. Try not to hit the target while taking over the property.

That or explain to him that chameleon shit is good fertilizer and get some vines set up above the flowers below.

Ralph why do you do want to shit on orchids? I love orchids!!!

Nature's a bitch plus shit happens

Besides those little dinky green chams of yours wouldn't hurt an Orchid! Now my blue Titan on the other hand would drop a load that would leave a crater of the flower pot . . . I think he just ate more food today than what your chams weigh :ROFLMAO:

Now that's my DREAM!! As what bobcochran said, vandas are a bit tougher because they require a lot of light, and they are heavy "feeders" (meaning, they like lots of fertilizer). The other orchids can be happily placed as long as you have good lighting for them. Phallies are pretty forgiving when it comes to lighting, they don't need much. Just have to be careful with watering. Make sure they aren't constantly wet from misting, and make sure water doesn't sit in the crown of the plant, otherwise it'll get crown rot. Some folks chams have chomped on their orchids or broken off flower spikes, so as long as that doesn't hurt your feelings then go for it.... They add some wonderful color to the cage if you get the growing conditions right. ;)

Orchids are wonderful in a cham enclosure. Phalaenopsis in the wild don't usually grow straight up. If planted sideways crown rot won't be a problem. Dendrobium phalaenopsis would a great choice and would be very easy to climb.imo
