Oregon keepers

Darci and I are going to be in Oregon this Friday-Monday on a little mini vacation, flying into Medford. We are going to do some fishing, relaxing and I guess whatever the heck we want. I wanted to know id there are any keepers near that we might be able to meet and if there are any reptile related things to do in the area. Cool store, zoo, Ect. . .

Medford is a couple of hours from the High Desert where I live, Bend, Or to be exact. It is still too cold for the herps to come out, but you could check out the high desert museum or maybe the weather will be warm enough to go on a herp hunt.

The whole no sun thing is a common misconception about Oregon. All of the bad, rainny weather stays on the west side of the Cascades. Here on the east side we get 300 days of sun a year!

Yeah my parents live in Tiller (45 min from Medford) and it gets to the mid 90's in the summer time! They just get a lot of snow....

Medford is pretty far from me, but if you wanted to come to Portland sometime, I know all sorts of things that would be fun to do. You can even go herping and find tons of frogs, newts, salamanders, and rubber boas right now.

Just got back yesterday from our Oregon trip. We had a good time...we found one little pet store in Klammath Falls that we checked out. We basically just went fishing, rented a lil boat, went bowling and RELAXED! It was nice. We never get to do that it seems. Maybe next time we'll get up to WA where more of you seem to be located. The weather was beautiful too. Cool, but sunny every day! Anyway, had a great time...now back to real life, ugh. haha.
