Our little Christmas Ambilobe

Check out this little guy, not quite 2 months old. Just completing a shed and I was astonished to see his color. He is from our Ambilobe named Renoir and an Ambilobe girl, named Athena, we bought from Jake (Westcoastchameleons) in Jan 08. The clutch was laid in 5/29/08 and began to hatch on or about Christmas day. Friendly little guy too. In some of the photos he's sitting on my husband's head . He's got great size, and color- now he just needs a name. (photos are resized but not retouched).

Chuck G- please forgive the fingernails on my husband. He works in construction (even when he's building and rebuilding chameleon habitats ).

ANY IDEAS FOR A NAME FOR THIS LITTLE TROOPER?

So far my husband and I like "Grinch", or some derivative thereof.

But I will definitely hold onto "Vixen" for one of the girls in the clutch. And Dasher sounds so, well, dashing. And Comet we will hold for one of the fast get-away guys. This one here is too friendly, so he doesn't run off like some of them try to.

Thank you for all the compliments. He is from our first Ambilobe clutch. After raising Sambavas (which are slow to grow, color and mature) I couldn't belive how fast this guy is taking on size and color. I plan to keep him (if hubby will allow me ;)).

A weird one that isn't Christmas related, but he strikes me as a "Sidamo"...he has the colors of the old sidamo stamp from when I worked at Starbucks. Rich yellow, black...and it is a nice exotic coffee. A fitting name for an exotic, beautiful chameleon.

How is that pronounced, Nikki. I think I like it. Is it See-dom-o? or Sigh-dom-o?

With colors like that and arriving on Christman I would name him suprise. He sure is nice, congrats. And if your husband won't ley you keep him, maybe my husband would let me.:)

He is very cute Sandy! Can't wait to see his colors as he gets older! Also, on a side note, we took a bunch of your flyers to the show we did in Mesa, AZ last weekend and in between selling animals were able to talk about Reptaid a bit. Just wanted to let you know! Some people really liked the idea of it :)

Sih as in "Sid" the name, dah (ah as in "AWful"), mow (the lawn).

But you can interpret it how you want ;) Make it fun.

I'm liking Gaia/Gaea because it's the Greek personification of the earth. He has a few earthy tones to him! I like the names on here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anemoi as well as Greek god/dess names in general!
