Our new addition

The adorable Miss E:

She is a CB Kinyongia multituberculata from Seeco. (Thanks! We love her!) These are super cute and sweet chameleons and I highly recommend them. Not too hard to care for either.

She is also much cuter in person - she is still a bit scared of the strange lady with the black box!

Laurie you sound so content with watching her grow :D

--shes so beautiful ^^ i love seeing everyones chams esp super healthy happy ones.

I'm getting one of those soon damnit... I just need to create a cool room in the house so that they will be more confortable.

Thanks everyone!

Awe very cute!!! How old is this one??

She is an adult. I haven't weighed her yet but she is about the size of our other female who is 22 grams. She has a "softer" looking head head which makes her too cute - our other female has longer horns and a higher crest so she looks sharper and more angular.

They are pretty adaptable unless it is super hot. Mine were all kept out side year round and I have acclimated them to inside living - still getting Miss E used to it. We have a good night drop in temps as well.

Hey, looking good but I was thinking, when we were checking her out, that she is due for a shed soon. Get ready for some serious color! Let me know if she starts making eggs.

Thanks everyone!

I've been told that they can live fine in my environment but I would like to breed them too some day and I think they probably need the cool to breed.

I think you will probably be ok! Cool weather is great to keep them hydrated and not eating all the time but if you can provide enough food and water they should be extremely happy. Texas summers will probably require several hours of misting per day.

they'd be okay inside wouldn't they? with AC and maybe a humidifier?

And they do love to eat ... especially the ladies! Miss E is still settling in so I haven't seen her full appetite (though she was sitting in front of her cage looking at me like "hey, how about some more of those crickets?") but little Mouse LOVES food and will eat as much as I give her.
