Oustalet's Chameleon Care?

I've been looking through all of the posts on here and even googled looking for a care sheet and there's only very vague information referring to them (guessing because of how unpopular they are). The only posts I've seen have been over a year old and didn't give the information I'm looking for.

Questions:
Hydration/humidity requirements? Dripper needed or just misting?
Are they able to eat larger insects/prey than say panthers?
Should I go ahead and build larger enclosures than the 2'x2'x4' ones?
Are they fairly easy to breed and what type of incubation temps/duration would I be looking at?
Also what's their growth rate like generally? Age/size?

May have other questions but that'll do for now lol.

Care for these is exactly like a panther chameleon. They could use a slightly larger cage than what is typically recommended but the rest of the care can memic any good care sheet you read here on panthers.

Ok. I've been breeding and raising panthers for about 7yrs along with veileds and jacksons but hadn't gotten into Oustalet's due to the lack of information

IMHO I would give them larger spaces...but it might depend on whether you end up with larger males or not. But then I house all my chams in larger cages than most keepers do. I just like to give them more living area whether they use it every day or not...if its offered they pretty much use it. I'd agree that the "general" panther guidelines would be good...they are not that different considering their wild habitat conditions. They may be physically able to eat larger prey, but remember that smaller feeders aren't bad (multiple smaller prey items are easier to digest than one or two larger massed items. Eating isn't just swallowing...its the whole hunt routine that gives them something to do during the day, hones skills and muscles, and provides variety), you just need more of them. A panther or verrucosus can handle a full grown hornworm just like a Oustaleti.

I'm definitely thinking about bigger enclosures (around 3' wide, 2ft deep and 5-6' tall) since free ranging isn't an option with 3 dogs and 5 kids including a 11month old who gets into everything.

Does anyone know much about breeding and egg incubation temps or relative length of incubation?

They're real easy. Rather hardy. Mine go days without water. Then they get a rain for about an hour (dripper) and drink it up once or twice a week.

My large male goes for Blaberus giganteus size roaches.

As for eggs, I have a bunch so I guess I'll know the answer to your last question soon enough! But I read 60-120 days incubation at 72-78 degrees. The males are seriously larger than the females.

I have a large adult male, WC, plus several sub adults and juveniles (WC and CB). Their care requirements are similar to Veileds. A buddy hatched my CB's in 10 1/2 months. Oustie's are know for long incubation times, 9 - 12 months.

Again feeding is similar to veileds, a variety of insects. My large male even eats a mouse once a month or so!

Being in s florida, I keep them outside year around and they are all thriving-

So their incubation time is around the same as panthers... That's not a huge deal breaker for me. Kind of used to it with the panthers. It should be worth the wait then.

Wish weather in Missouri was like that instead its 60 one day and 20 the next anymore then over 100 in the summer. Thinking about building outside enclosures for summer evenings and during the spring and fall just not yet 100% about what material to use for the frames considering wood rots not to mention possible termites.

I have a pair and a juvenile male. They are all free-ranged. I free-range all my large chameleons - I think they do better that way. (but I do not have kids or dogs or cats)

They seem to like a warm basking spot and they do get a very long misting daily. They all have very big appetites - even more so than the melleri.

I have eggs incubating from a WC female that didn't make it. The incubation time is 9-12 months as lizardguy said.

Bogie - adult male. We found him at a swap meet that had a bunch of birds and reptiles in various booths.

Definitely liking the idea of getting at least 1 or possibly trying to find an unrelated pair. They don't seem very colorful or popular because of that but hey neither am I lol

Does anybody have a size to age ratio for theres, my is around two and I don't believe he is full grown only about the size of panther. This worries me a bit, any suggestions?
