Outdoor enclosure complete!

Another thing i really like is the way you placed the cage on the ground . Cant even explain it. Partially on the path and the majority over open soil. With bricks and rocks to fill the gaps and level the cage.

It's actually the catch cage for an aviary for birds, but I've slimmed myself down to only an umbrella cockatoo. She hangs out in the aviary during the day, but her wings are clipped so I don't need the catch cage for her. I had been thinking about doing an outdoor Cham cage and it came to mind so I decided to go with it!

A "catch cage"..... Hmmmm, how much does something like that cost?
Thanks

That is a very nice set up!

I hadn't even thought how a catch cage (or even a small aviary) would make for an excellent outdoor cham cage. Good thinking!

Well this particular catch cage was part of a large flight aviary that's 8ft x 6ft x 4ft. Some of the bigger aviaries can cost well over a thousand dollars, especially if you want it powder coated. There are much smaller aviaries that can run for only a few hundred dollars depending on the size and materials used.

just amazing... i want one so bad :((

It's definitely doable, even if you just went to a hardware stuff and purchased some wood to build a frame and wire mesh for siding. I've even seen some built from PVC with plastic mesh used as siding, you just have to make sure your branches don't create too heavy of a load.
