Outdoor roaming

I'm going to be setting up an outdoor enclosure for Ender for the nice days of Oregon for him to hang out.

I'm curious to know how long I should let him roam around outside, or if it's just fine to bring him out there in the morning and let him be there while I'm doing whatever in town, etc. (not at home) and then just bring him inside before it gets dark. Should I only let him be outside for up to a certain number of hours?

He's going to be in a very large mesh enclosure, probably something like 60"x48"x72" or maybe even larger so I can put some larger bushes/trees (which are on the safe list) so he can get plenty of space outdoors and "explore" but still not be attacked by anything like cats or birds or whatever...

I think you can leave him outside however long you want, so long as the temps and such are appropriate for him. If he has lots of shade and even a misting system hooked up he can probably be outside all day long, even during the hottest parts of the day. And I keep mine outside when it rains as well, because nothing beats a natural misting! But I'm in Florida, so it's raining pretty much every afternoon down here during summer.

That cage size is awesome, he will probably love being out there!

It rains every now and then in the summer here in Oregon. It's actually raining right now... haha. But it's like 65F out there. Should I worry about him being too cold, then??

How old is Ender? I doubt it though, I'd feel comfortable leaving mine outside in 65F, when it's lower than about 60F I usually bring young chameleons inside. But 65 is a good temp, that's a nice temperature drop at night which is good for them.

He's a little under a year old. Like 10 months maybe.

I wouldn't have left my guy out today. That rain and hail was crazy, my husband got an unexpected shower at the restaurant we had lunch at.

Also if you are going to leave him out for the day I would cover part of the cage so he has some coverage from the sun and an option to cool down.

Yeah, today was a bit much.

But I would think he'd be okay if he wanted to get out of the sun, he could just go under the branches and leaves of the trees or bushes I put out there.

When I lived in Portland I kept my adult Veileds outside from mid-May to early October, rain or shine. As long as overnight temps were mid-40s or higher they stayed out overnight. In March, April and November I would put them out on sunny or above normal temperature days. They love the sun-
