Outside Enclosure

After an afternoon of hard work and several small cuts on my arms and hands, Espio now has an outside enclosure! My yard is pretty much half shade and half sun thanks to a big tree right next to us. This isn't his permanent house, just an area for him to enjoy in the afternoons while the dog and I sit outside and play.

I know I need some more plants in there for shade and stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions of super easy plants? Animals I can do, plants I suck at. lol. I have a bunch of vertical sticks for him to climb on in there and I placed several horizontal ones at different levels for him to rest on.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know. :) It's already lights out here, but hopefully Espio will get to explore his new outside area tomorrow!

Excuse the dog in the picture, he's a jealous boy and snuck in it.

A lot of people use a fruit tree of some kind or hibiscus. Good job covering the top. A blue jay just wrecked a site users day last week. Make sure to keep shaded around the 2-4pm sun. It can get too hot in some areas. Also, a sprinkler on a timer can help with watering. Make sure to use a lead free hose.
