Pale Yemen's Crest

My Yemen's crest is pale in colour compared to the rest of it's body. Is this normal or a health problem?

The only reason i ask is that on all the pictures I've seen of others people's Yemen's, I have noticed that their crests are of the same colouration as to the their bodies.

Apart from te colour of the crest, he is generally in good health and eating well.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Try and post a picture...it will give us a better idea as to what it is. My guess is that is a head shed also.

My cham Yoshi has the same thing with him. His head is white and he has shed about a week ago. It has gotten this way over the past month. His scales are white and no color but the rest of his body is full of beauitful colors.

I vote for head shed as well. I've seen these type of posts every once in a while and that is the case. I think it would be a very unique genetic anomoly where only the head went albino on you.

Give it a couple weeks and I bet it sloughs off the skin.

Here is a pic that shows the pale creast. He has just had a shed and therte was some green colouration on the crest soon after but no longer present?

Looks like my veiled before he sheds. I noticed that as an adult he sheds in parts. Right now he is shedding his legs. Awhile ago he shed his head and tail. Go figure.

This is an old thread , but wondered if your Cham ever got his colour back - mine is about 5 months old and recently started to get this pale colour around his head he shed 3 days ago and its still there. - Wondering if its too much calc ?
