First i´m sorry for my english, is not so good but ill try....

Second...yes it is a male :)

I have had a panther chameleon for couple months now. He is abut 6 month old nosy be.
The problem i have is that he is not showing any colors exept when he fires up(when i pick him up etc) most of the time he is quite brownish.
When he sleeps he is nice green color.

He is in reptibreeze cage (24x24x48)
Lighting is Solar Raptor and basking spot is Exo terra intense basking spot. Under the basking spot about 82 F

I have a mister that mist´s 3 times a day. Humidity ranges 30-40%- 80%
Most of the time the humidity is about 40% and after mist it rises to 80% and then drops back to 40%

The cage is in quiet place and i dont handle him very often. He snatches cricets out of my hands and pooping ok :)

I just dont understad why he is so dull coloured all the time :/

Here´s the cage:

Full color potential is reached by 18 months so your guy has a lot of coloring up to do yet. He looks good to me. He will change almost daily at that age...

He is still very young, you will probably see a dramatic difference in the next 2 months and even more so within the next 6-12 months. Most panthers start getting their colors at about 6 months and they only get better from there.

You could also increase the basking temp to about 85f. As adults i have an 90F basking temp on my male panther chameleons.

Do you mean brownish like this?

If you mean he's dull as in little in the way of bright colouration, then I'd say it's just because he hasn't matured yet and won't for a while.

Over the next few months, you'll notice so much change, especially with each shed!!

It's amazing how much they change colour as they mature.

I was trying to find a thread I did of the changes with age of my boy but I can't locate it at the mo, below is all I could find.

This is a collage of my Nosey Be X BB Ambilobe Simba. (Centre pic is him as a dull brown baby, the surrounding pics are his adult colours)
