Panther Acclimation

Hello,

I just acquired my new 3 mos old Panther Chameleon and would like to get some feedback regarding acclimation (feeding/watering/lighting/supplementation). He has been basking, sleeping and drinking water all day but has had little interest in feeding. I assume this is normal and due to "jet lag". All advice is welcome. Thanks!

Will post pics soon!

I have a veiled, i feed well gut loaded crickets and mealworms and she eats the live plants i have/i use a drip system 1 drip every 5 seconds, and mist the cage with a hand mister 3 times a day/reptisun 5.0 24" bulb and a 24" plant bulb for my live plants then a 120w incadecent basking bulb and fixture/rep cal calcium with d3, repcal herptivite, and repcal without d3.

anything with sleeping during the day and not eating should be taken seriously.
Make sure you notify the condition to the breeder/ the store you bought him from.
and maintain your alertness for couple of days.
If this is a simple jetlag, it should subside in couple of days.

It is normal for panthers not to feed for a few days after arriving at a new location. During the first few days, they should remain active exploring their new surroundings. He should not be sleeping for long periods of time during the day.

Thanks for the responses. Everything is A-O-K!! He ate 10 gut loaded crickets today. His color is normal and he has been alert and pretty active throughout the course of the day. I wasn't worried about his health as he was purchased from FLChams, son of Brantley.

Mike if your reading.....thanks again!!
