Panther breeding question

Ok, so today me and Amanda decided our girls were all at a good weight so we are going to eventually start introducing them to different males within this next month. Today we introduced our first female and I had a few questions about their behavior.

The male we introduced a female to is a little smaller then the other males, but he is our prettiest one in my opinion. When they were introduced he started bobbing his head and she puffed up, but still showed her real pretty receptive colors. We left them alone and just peeked in every now and then but haven't noticed anything going on besides him approaching a few times but then eventually they are separated. Now, she is basking and he is hanging out a little lower in the cage. They are both still throwing really beautiful colors and not acting stressed, but they aren't acting interested anymore.

The questions: How long do you usually leave yours together? Should we just leave them together until one acts stressed(meaning over night as well)? Also, if you leave them together how should they be fed? We cup feed so should we put in another cup?

Alot of time if my females aren't interested they will chase my males away without even moving. The female puffs up, gives him the stare and then he decides he'd rather not get bitten and I remove him. I'd remove the male and re-introduce him again tomorrow. Generally if mating is going to happen, at least in my limited experience you will be able to tell in the first 5-15mins. I've only had a problem mating involving a male once. For some reason he would not breed for about 3 weeks to the female I had chosen for him. He is by far my prettiest cham, mainly for his reds, teals, and oranges, and I wanted him bred to one of my anubis jr. females but he did not like her. I tested her out with other males and she let them approach so I removed them before anything happened. I tested the male as well and he chased every other females. So I decided I would try these two together til it happened and it finally did I think 2 weeks and 5 days later. I put her in his cage or him in her cage every other day for that long til he decided to finally mate her. Personally I do not know the reason but sometime it takes awhile with a certain pair of chams. It probably didn't help that my female was longer than the year old male and out weighed him by a couple grams. She's a very aggressive cham and has bitten males right after breeding before so maybe he was just psychic or saw my other males bitten tail. If it's the color combo you want I wouldn't give up til it happens. however if you have access to another female I would def test him out and see if he approaches her and tries to mount. Then you know he will breed and it may just be the female being a bully. However I do not think she should puff up, unless she puffed up when he was still on your hand or something, thats the only time a receptive female has puffed at one of my males. good luck and I hope you get them to breed.
