Current Problem - Hello Chameleon Forums. I have just recently bought a female panther chameleon from the reptile show that was here in Florida. The breeder I bought my first chameleon happen to be at the show, so I then purchased this new little girl.

So far she has been exceptional and a very health eater. I went to a new local reptile store this last weekend and bought some new feeders for her to try. I gave her a small discoid roach for the first time. She did eat it, though I don't think she enjoyed it because she hasent eaten another one since (but has been eating crickets, hornworms, ect.)

Today (this evening to be exact), my husband noticed her lip poking out on one side. I didn't notice it this morning when I was feeding her, so I'm not sure as to when this started. I'm hoping its not any sign on mouth rot.. I tried to research but only found one some-what related topic recommending more supplements to fix the problem..

Has anyone experience this with their chameleon, and should I be worried?

First pic is the lip poking out
Second Pic is the other side of her face which looks normal

Not sure how to edit, but I forgot to mention that I gutload my feeders with my own blended fruits and veggies.

First of all get rid of the Repcal phosphorous with d3. Don' t use anything with phosphorous as most staple feeders have more than enough phosphorous. Get calcium with d3 without phosphorous. Your supplement
Schedule sounds good otherwise. I would keep an eye on her lip for a few days before going to the vet, sometimes a cricket leg or something gets lodged in there and distends the lip, it might take her some time to
Clear it out. From the picture it doesn't look like a case of classic mouth rot, imo.

Thank you, Bob Cochran, for you advice. I will definitely keep an eye on her. Also, my supplements are phosphorus-free, that was a mistake in my message. But here's what I'm using, it is still the Rep-Cal brand.

Just wanted to update that my chameleon's lip looks much better. It no longer pokes out and looks flush with her top lip, however there is small black coloring on her lip. Other than that she is doing well.
