Panther Chameleon Eggs Question?

Is it normal for panther eggs to dent before hatching? My question is I have some eggs that are ready to start hatching a one has came out already but some are starting to dent? Is this normal before hatching?
 
Did some quick research. Sometimes this is due to low humidity. Might consider getting them some liquid.

If I remember correctly, the dent sometimes is around the air sack that allows an infant animal to break out of the shell. Kind of a softening of a point to help out.

I'm about 50% sure of the second. I would imagine the issue is probably from the first.
 
The humidity to at 80% so I'm not sure why they are denting hopefully some more people will chime in.
 
Interesting...give them some more time. You don't want to be messing with them at this point. You have been doing something right since you have gotten one to hatch!
 
All I did is lightly mist the top of the eggs with a really fine spray. Some people say they have eggs dented right before hatching I don't know that's why I asked
 
try moist hatchrite

i use to breed veiled chams years ago.. use a nice material like hatchrite to incubate your eggs .. it holds moisture very well.. be sure that your temp is not to high.. if your humidity is to hi i have heard that it can cause soft spots.. havent seen it myself..
 
Hello, One of my panther babies hatched yesterday. He is pretty big. Eggs were incubated for 7 months (about 25C during day and 21C during night). But the baby is still ?sleeping? I am not sure how to call it, because he is not replying when I touch him. He is alive for sure (changing colors). I thought, maybe he is just resting, but than I saw something weird on his belly. It was not yellow, it was more pinkish. 2 hours ago, that thing fell of. He was bleeding a bit. I have no idea what was it and if he is going to be okay. Please help. Thank you.
 
I haven't had any experience with hatchlings, but it sounds like exhaustion from the hatch (just resting) and also like the yolk sac falling off. What is the humidity level like? Also @Claudia , you may want to start a new thread in the Chameleon Breeding forum to get more notice. (This thread is pretty old) Hope he comes around soon, but I'm sure some more experienced breeders will chime in as well.

It was probably his yolk sac I would just leave him be let him start walking around so he can start stimulating the other to hatch...
