panther male or female second opinion

I am going with ambilobe Male to me. I would guess he is about 6- 8 months.
Have you seen him fire up yet?

no not yet this is why i was asking lol the bloke where i got it told me 5 months old but i thought i was big for that age but i am not expert. when do they fire up and at waht age do they start show colour as mine looks the same as in the pictures all the time

He is 100% male, no doubt about that. I would bet the ranch on it.

However, like I said on your other thread, it may take more time for his colors to really come in. From the photos and his colors, I would say he's maybe 5-6 months old. Just wait another month or two and you'll see a difference, I promise you.

Again thanks am just eager to see his colours as I hàve not seen any yet but the red around the eyes looks lovely and the yellow on his mouth is very cool and will this continue on througput his body.

I think we covered this in your thread on the same topic yesterday. It is defiantly a male and for the length you mentioned 15" he seems to be closer to 8-9 months . In the future you could just add pix to the previous thread to keep all answers and comments in one place. It will only help rather than create another thread on the same topic. Just my opinion.

Just been to local pet shop

Just been to local pet shop and I was told by a number off staff I have a female panther as it has no bulge at base of tale and they say compared to there ones in the pet shop it look much older so now I have many people saying male and my local pet shop saying female It ha just complete a full shed in a few hours and the colour is a little more redder on the tail but still not seen any display yet it's just so laid back not shy and will willing walk on to my hand. I am really wanting colour to come other wise u will have I purchase another panther chameleon. Any advice agin and sorry for making a new thread but I am new to this forum stuff

I would rather believe people on this forum than your pet shop. There are people here who breed them for many years, so I believe someone who only work in the pet shop can not know better. IMO

Male!!! No questions! And NO one will know what locale he is for sure because he could be a mix of locales....I am thinking Sambava because of the U-bar and the fact it is really slow to color up....but still could be a mix of ambilobe etc.
