Current Problem*- my cham has been very picky about eating lately. When I first got him I was feeding him crickets and had no problem. Then I made the switch to dubia roaches because he stopped eating crickets. He ate the dubia roaches for about a month and I mixed supers and Isopods in so he wasn't only eating dubias. He then refused dubias. So now he will ONLY eat isopods and supers. However, he will only eat about 3 supers and 4-5 isopods. So I am getting nervous that he is not eating enough. When he sleeps or basks he looks very healthy l. But when he roams his cage or "deflates" his body he looks very skinny. I do not know if it is normal for them to deflate and look skinny. Can someone please help?

Thanks !!

His head pads are nice and inflated. He seems to be well hydrated, I check his eyes everyday to make sure they are not sunken. I didn't know their head pads deflating meant that they were poorly hydrated or fed. His pads are inflated. So any suggestions? Or maybe I am just paranoid and he is eating enough?

Do a search on this forums and you will see a trend with the abuse of supers. Here is another thread that is right along your lines and it is just a few threads away. Many, many, many, many more threads will support it.

You have to cut super worms out of his diet. After he regains his appetite which may be weeks away. USE supers as a snack only. Using them at the end of a feeding, only a couple and not so often.
