Panther supplements?

Ok, here goes ... it's been a good few years since I had a Veiled that needed more supplementation than the Jackson's. Anyhow, I am getting a young female Panther (approx 6 months old) at some point this week and I know things have likely changed a bit since I last had to do a lot of supplementing! I had spent the past few weeks since Toby died trying to persuade myself that I didn't need another chameleon. Then my daughter and I met this particular girlie panther in a shop on Friday (a local shop and I know the owner and staff). She has been there for a couple of months now and is always overlooked as she is a female. Well, she is quite happy to come out and have a wander and is very used to people looking at her and handling her. We fell in love with her right there! I have decided to give her the forever home that she deserves. Any pointers for a little pink girl would be fab! Obviously the feeders will be gutloaded too. Thank you all! Edit - please bear in mind that I am in the UK so may not be able to get the same things as owners elsewhere!

I'm so glad to hear you are getting a new little girl! I don't have a lot to add because it's been a couple of years since I had my female panther. I use the Repashy SuperCal on all of my guys, but I'd add some extra calcium if I felt she needed it. Best of luck with her and we can't wait for pics!

I'm glad you decided to get another chameleon. The little girls are the sweetest. With not allot of outside time in the UK I'd recommend the standard of most feedings with calcium without d3, calcium with d3 twice a month and a multi vitiman twice s month. If you can get some liquid calcium that's good to have on hand for right before and right after egg laying.

Good advice already given so far so all I have to add is put a laying bin in her cage as a permanent fixture. You could also put a live plant in the box too to help spruce up the place. Egg laying chameleons are already prepared to dig through roots. But if you think she's going to lay you might want to run your hands through the dirt to make sure it's not like a total cob web of roots she has to dig through.
I have a big trash can that's I leave setup for some girls that seem to be more stubborn laying in there cage. It has 2 foot of dirt with a single pothos growing in it. Lights and everything. Sometimes I use it as a spare cage.
Lots of luck to you!! Females are so under rated.
