Panthers won't breed

My male panther is around 9 or 10 months and my female is over a year old now. No matter what I try they just won't breed. I have tried placing them in each others cages, free ranging them and on a tree outside but if it's not the male puffing up its the female. Has anyone got any advice they can give me?

If she isn't receptive, you don't have a shot. That being said, you can also try pulling the male outta his cage, put the female in there and then introduce the male back into the cage after a bit, or vise versa.

I've tried that a couple times before but, he's in a bigger cage now as of a few days ago so it's worth a shot thank!
I've not seen her receptive colours since she was about 6 months old.

Still trying lol. She has been showing her receptive colours for a few months now but whenever and however I introduce the male he just games and lunges for her, even managed to bite her the other day before I had the chance to grab him. Luckily she is ok and it didn't leave a mark. I don't think hes into females lol.

What type of bulb are you using i put 100 watt bulbs on mine and they breed every time leave a 100 watt for a couple of days they should breed!

lunging sideways with the mouth open or forward with mouth closed on impact?
The forward lunge could just be his normal opening act of asserting his dominance before the breeding begins- if so, you are removing him too soon. The side-lunge with mouth open is just aggression. The forward lunge may begin with mouth open but will not continue that way and no actual biting will occur.

With mouth open, he just seems to be aggressive. I have them free ranging just now around 5 feet away from each other and seem to be fine just now, would you say either of them look ready?
