Kent-
what is Parang Jr? Like, is he pure nosy be or ambilobe, or mixed?
I'm just asking because my Ebenezer is mixed with probable nosy be and ambilobe and I'm trying to judge by your's what his colors might be close to.
Because mine is all blue with red background on his belly and beard, so Parang Jr. reminded me of him!
:)

But might I add, they're all very very stunning!

very nice pics kent, popeye looks great too,:eek:lil purple ambanjas? cant wait for the updates on these. keep me posted on those tks

Hi, everyone. Glad you like my little pards.

Hey Chad, nope, it's Faly Shore. Like Cain accurately said a month or so ago, and I actually disagreed at the time, he really is starting to turn more blue. At times his bars are a gorgeous aqua color. Popeye kept sticking his head in the camera so all of his pictures turned out blurry. :rolleyes: Next time.

Harry, sorry for the Ambilobe retina burn so early this morning. ;)

Bimac: Parang was several generations captive bred and his lineage was somewhat murky although he resembled a red-bar Ambilobe. The female I paired him up with was a wild caught with no region of collection info. After conversing with someone in the know, it was decided that she most likely came in with a shipment of Nosy Bes and Maroantsetras. Since all the babies have been showing blue, I'm fairly certain she was from Nosy Be.

Thanks Jann, he doesn't usually fire up so much but while I had the first boys out I noticed he was up against the wall of his cage staring angrily at them. Once he was out and saw the girl too....

Hey Rob, yeah the clutch is sired by my big wc male and grandsired by FlCham's Brantley. They hatched out quite large and are doing great. I can't WAIT to see how they turn out!

i cant wait see how they turn out either, ill be watchin for updates and if ya have a female, want one

Those are his basking colors;
These are his normal colors, plus not being too fond of the camera at the moment. But I wanted you to see the red in his throat! :)

Kent those panthers are truly stunning! I hope my male ambi turns out like the first shot. I won't know for a while because he is F1.

Will let you know. So far this clutch is really male heavy. For both of us, I hope more females hatch!

@Bimac: If you like blue, and I know I do, I think you're off to a really good start there. Thanks for your compliments on Parang, Jr. Although he was probably not a "pure" regional morph, Parang was one of the coolest chameleons I've been around in the last 18 years. Unfortunately he went into kidney failure shortly after fathering that clutch and is sorely missed. It is very satisfying to see a couple of his sons growing up to be big, alpha males though. :)

Here's to good luck! This guy is also F1. I hatched him in January from a female imported gravid so you never know how they'll turn out until they do!
