Panting?

My 4 month old Male sits on his basking branch and after a little while he will open his mouth like he is panting. I measured the temperature with my temp gun, his branch was only 84°F and his back was only 85.3°F. Any idea why he might be opening his mouth like that? When he sees me he closes it.

No noise. His temps stay in the 80s highest it has gone was 87 so I lowered his branch a little.

He has some skin left between his eyes was maybe thinking it has something to do with it. He doesn't do it long or alot just every once in a while. When I see him do it I measure the temperature.

nothing wrong then, just temperature regulating if there is noise coming out of him like he's wheezing then theres cause for concern but as of now nope nothings wrong.
