Oh this book? "The New Chameleon Handbook" by Francois le Berre? The one that says on p54: "UV rays are high energy waves. In their presence the precursor of vitamin D is transformed into vitamin D3. However it was recently established that this photochemical process does not occur in chameleonids."
This book that says to NOT use UV bulbs on chameleons in this and the next paragraph is your absolutely perfect reference that disputes personal experience from an experienced parsons keeper? Hmm....
