Parson's in Madagascar

Calumma parsonii, Culver, 1842
Food: Insects, lizards, sometimes birds.

Francois LeBerre
R.D. Bartlett
Patrica Bartlett

No sandwiches. When you write a book let me know.

Oh this book? "The New Chameleon Handbook" by Francois le Berre? The one that says on p54: "UV rays are high energy waves. In their presence the precursor of vitamin D is transformed into vitamin D3. However it was recently established that this photochemical process does not occur in chameleonids."

This book that says to NOT use UV bulbs on chameleons in this and the next paragraph is your absolutely perfect reference that disputes personal experience from an experienced parsons keeper? Hmm....

To the OP: sorry for all the drama on your thread...

Well I guess that proves me wrong. Absolute proof that they NEVER would eat any vegetation. Info dating from 1842. Go call Chuck a liar then. After you apologize to the OP for ripping his thread.

Culver discovered them in 1842. lol

His reference nevertheless...

I apologize to the OP for the drama too. Someone is wrong and just needs to admit it.

I don't know WHY drama would even start on an ART thread, but LOVE it! He reminds me of Spike the dinosaur from Land Before Time... That little dino made plants look so appetizing, and this picture does the same for me. Makes me want to go munch on a flower, too! Fantastic art, keep it up!

Nice art but I have never seen mine eat plant material.

Im not sure how stating ones own experience could be taken like it was. ;/

I dont think anyone is wrong here, just acting funny, probably because their minds were blown when they saw such an awesome picture. :)

You bunch of sillies...

Sigh... This site needs its own Television show... Maybe our drama will take some attention away from those Kardashians! :p
