Does anyone know how to go abaout getting your money back that you sent through paypal. I have 2 cases of payments processing from my back account over 2 weeks ago and I STILL have not recieved my purchase.......just wondering??

Just make absolutely sure that you try to contact the person you sent money to.

I had someone start a dispute without contacting me about the problem. Paypal took the money out of my account immediately.

I contacted the guy within a day as he had given me his work address to mail it to. He recieved his item a week after the dispute, never cancelled the dispute dispite my urgings(all he would do is post in the dispute for paypal to close it), and paypal gave him his money back when the dispute time ended. and he still had my item. Paypal cant seem to contact the buyer, nor can I.. and they will not do anything about it, even though a LIVE person never reviewed the case before the case was closed.

There are two sides to every story, just make absolutely sure to do your best to contact the seller first before disputing. It may be a simple mixup that can be handled without ripoffpal automated dispute system getting involved.

(I have been on both sides of the story with Paypal, and disputes never end well for me.)

thanks for the advice.......Im giving it till thursday and if i havnt recieved my order than Im gooing to start the dispute...I have contacted both the sellers today.

same here i got compleaty ripped off by somone, compleatly unfair!:(

In the case that this did happen I would be more than happy to repay the person If i recieved the order after the dispute.
Im in Texas and the sellers are both located in the states so what do u think the hold up would be??

If they sent the items parcel post, it could take up to 30 days. I dont know why, but it can, even a simple transaction from michigan to New Jersey. Happened to me. March 9th mail date, person didnt get package until march 26th.

I never start a dispute unless there is a lack of communication from the seller.
Usually starting a dispute lights a fire under their rear and suddenly, they are easy to contact ;)

True, but some people start a dispute before even trying to contact.

Dispute should be a last resort, not a first. Its painful having $200 yoinked, and Paypal charging you an extra fee on top of that to yoink your funds :)

I agree. Some people also scam on ebay and craigslist, but it shouldn't discourage people from using them. I am sorry you got scammed, but the world is full of them.

But like I said, if the seller is impossible to reach, dispute that crap.

I agree totally! I just wanted to put a precautionary tale out there, since this is happening more lately.(and my example still stings!) Sorry if I sounded more negative than I intended.

Paypal is still the only "reliable" service of its kind.

Cody,

Look at your Paypal Account history, and be sure both you and the seller have the right Paypal account address for each other. If you spot a payment you sent listed as unclaimed, you have the wrong address for the seller, and he/she is still waiting for payment.
