I actually looked on this http://www.reptilesmagazine.com/Rep...List-of-Plants-That-Can-Be-Toxic-To-Reptiles/I'm not sure but I'd imagine pears are safe. Double check that first.
I have a friend that's always tells me how much they love watermelon. I actually just passed on 3 young adults to her last week. None of them had ever eaten watermelon. All 3 now love it she tells me.
I know. I just recently found out his one of his favorite fruits. PearsI would not feed pears everday. Being okay and beneficial are different things.
Have a look at this, https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/entry/feeder-nutrition-amp-gutloading.75/
That said, from what I see of the pear. It has a good C/P ratio, Oxalic Acid, so it is a good fruit. It has a lot of vitamin C not much of others though. Just try to switch it up just like with feeders.
Do not be surprised if he refuses pears or any fruit or veggies. Veileds will eat plants, if they are hydrated or lacking in a nutrient, but not necessarily as a staple food source. And he still needs bugs they do not replace that.
But yea I still do insects but just wanted to switch it up a littleI know. I just recently found out his one of his favorite fruits. Pears
