Pedialite for an electrolite boost? And 10.0 or 5.0 UVB?

I've asked a couple times in my other posts but haven't gotten a response yet so trying again:)

Was wondering if I could add some pedialite to Picasso's water supply to give him a boost in electrolytes to aid in his healing? He's doing so so much better but is still a tad weak and sleeping a lot and thought maybe some pedialite added to his water supply would help restore his lack of energy and in turn aid his immune system while he continues to heal. He is still more active at night, he sleeps most the day and as soon as I turn off his daytime lights wakes up and starts cruising around his cage, hunting crickets and climbing up and down the screen and various "roads". Will he get into a more normal routine once he's completely settled? And what are some good suppliments the I can use right now to aid in his healing?

Oh! And what are everyones thoughts on ReptiSun 10.0 tube uvb bulbs? I actually didn't realize I had grabbed the 10.0 instead of the 5.0 until just this morning when I turned it on, can this one actually burn him or is it okay? It's mounted inside the cage and is fairly close to him when he's on the top branch, probably at it's closest 4-5 inches away, and am now concerned it may be "too much". Can I put a screen barrier over it or should I replace it all together?

What is little Picasso recovering from? I'm sorry I missed it.

I don't see any harm in adding a little pedialite to his water, when my Meller's was sick and not eating on her own I would give her a syringe of pedialite with her medicine in one fell swoop, just to make sure she was keeping hydrated (her antibiotics are hard on kidneys, so even though she was drinking I wanted to make sure she was in good shape with her water intake) I think you'd be fine adding a little but if he's drinking well then it's not a necessity really.

And the Reptisun 10.0 is totally fine. It's nowhere near powerful enough to burn him or be too much for him to handle, so it's ok to use it. It's the bulb I use for all of mine most of the time. There are UVB bulbs stronger than this and they're also safe (and great) for chameleons, as long as there are shady spots in the cage and they can move in and out of the UVB when they want (like with heat.)

Great!

Thanks! Ive been really wanting to give him some pedialite but wanted to make sure it would be safe first, he's had such a rough time in life, last thing I want to do is make him feel any crummier.

His story is way to long to tell again here but a few posts down you can find out about my little Picasso. The thread is named Rescued Male Panther Covered in Sores. I posted two follow up threads on his progress named Picasso the Rescue Male Panther-DAY 3 and another ending in DAY 4. He's a little trooper! Thanks again for the response, gonna go give him a little right now.
