I think it is a perreti and a male, but I am not positive. So what do you think?

I think so but I'm not so sure. One of the experts on this forum like Will Hayward or Brad Ramsey should know.

Definitely male. I believe you're right about it being perreti as well. The dorsal crest seems to be less defined in those. Also, I think they are the more commonly imported subsp. of weidersheimi.

He still looks great! Thanks for sharing :)

Thanks guys, I was pretty sure that was what I had (i had based my guess on that article from chameleon news) that article is the only useful info I could find on the peacocks, I must have read it a hundred times since I got this guy. Any idea where I could find some more good info? My brother just came home with him one day after the pet store told him he was easy to care for. Ive been trying my best to recreate his montane atmosphere and he is in seemingly good health and been so for bout a yer and a half. Ive absolutely fallen in love with this species and would even like to try to breed them one day, but I just cant stop trying to learn more about the wiedersheimi and chams in general, I never feel like I know enough.

There really is very little published about this species, unfortunately. Other then those two articles, I don't know of anything particularly worth while to point you to off the top of my head. If you have any particular questions on them though, I can try to answer them.

Cool article. You really can see the difference in the shape of and lack of parietal crest in the posterior casque as well as the development of the dorsal crest. Good call on the subspecies
