So i actually found out the other day that my Veiled is actually a Girl (she has no foot spurs), the pet shop never told me the age or gender (if anyone could guess her age), So i just automatically assumed she was a he. oops. I had her in a glass terrarium for about 2 weeks when she came home. But then i researched how to build a enclosure and did so. It is 18x18x36. I have a Dracaena Fragans with fake vines and leaves for more cover. It stays about 80 degrees at its highest point, and i keep humidity at a steady 50-70.

When she was in her glass cage i had her at about eye level on a shelve and had to step on a chair to feed her. She would go running to the crickets and eat from the cup right away. Now that she has been in her new enclosure for about 2 weeks, every time i walk in the room, she automatically gets scared and either goes to the side of her vine in an attempted to hide from me or just run into the leaves and get to a hiding spot. I have her on a dinner table at the corner of our dining room in my apartment which we don't use at all. So my thoughts are she sees my whole body and she gets scared because my head is at level with the top of the enclosure. The times that i catch her out in the open and feed her ill put the cup in front of her and keep it still until she feels comfortable enough to eat out of it. And other times she runs away and i just end up leaving the crickets in there so she can hunt them since she was stubborn and wouldn't come out to eat.

My thoughts are that she would be used to this enclosure by now and go back to the way she was in the glass terrarium where my presence didn't affect her.But this is not the case. I mean she seems happy, is always green for the most part. sometimes a army color when she is walking around without me around.

I caught her the other day shedding in full, pretty cool. Here are some pictures.

Nice, but does it look to anyone else like the legs are a little oddly positioned, like MBD? Might just be me, I lost my glasses and I'm blind as a bat.

I'm not an expert, but i don't think she has MBD because i see her walking around a lot and all four of her legs seem fully functioning. Might just look like that in that picture. Ill post more and try to be sneaky so she doesn't hide from me so we can compare.

i cant realy see from the pics but she looks about 3 months old, atleast mine was that big when i baught her and she was 3 years old the breeder told me she was a male and she turned out to be a femle lol

She looks about 3-4 months to me, my veiled was not much bigger when I got him at 3 months old.

She is adorable. Nice cage but I'd add another plant and more vines and branches. I thinks she's still adjusting to her new home.

I took some more pictures. It is almost impossible to get her not to run away from me when im in the room :( Caught her sleeping on the actual cage last night instead of a branch..
