Petco veiled chameleon?

Fl chams has baby veileds for 40 plus shipping

Yeah but they are 2 months old. I am looking one that is maybe 3 months old and since I am a beginner, i was recommended to get a 3 month old one so they can eat adult size crickets instead of pin heads and all those other harder requirements. So if i bought a baby it would come out as 90 total including shipping.

When I raised my veiled babies I did not feed adult crickets to 3 or even 4 month olds. It's much better IMO to feed insects that are a little on the small side instead of too large.

Sit back and wait a month and the babies will be 3 months old. Don't rush, do allot more research. I bet a nice deposit would hold a baby for a month.

When buying your cham keep in mind that you usually get what you pay for. ;)

My 2.5 month Panther eats 1/4 to 1/2" crickets. And i am sureeee he is a ton smaller than Any Veiled for that age. Just saying..

They won't take Adult crickets safely till they are about 5 months .

I NEVER feed ANY of my Chams (ages a 2.5 months to 10 months ) Adult crickets... I just can't stand to have Adult crickets chirp in my home. So i order 1000 1/2" crickets for under $30 shipped and just feed more to my Adult Cham, and they are the perfect size for the babies.

PS: 1000 crickets lasts me well over a month with an all they can eat feeding schedule.. I am at a month with my current batch of crickets and i'm sure there is still about 200+ crickets still in there.

Dont get too upset over the glass tank they were housed in. This is common with baby chams. even though they are green and active you still take the risk of them not settling in there new home, but thats the risk you take with any new cham. As long as you know how to care for them and are ready to devote a lot of time to the little guy it sounds like a great price at Petco. I dont agree with the way these stores are run, but they are not going to change anytime soon. If you have an Opportunity to save one of these guys go for it.

Vlad!!

What is your budget for your Cham???

Tell you what!! When you have everything for your Cham set up (cage and supplies wise) PM me , i'll fund a portion of the shipping.

You also have to make a thread once you recieve your Cham with your upkeep, updates, issues, questions and concerns, etc. !!

Aslo, just understand it's cold this time of year and you may not get your Cham for Christmas. But use the time to read , research and get the enclosure ready.

Merry Christmas!

Where ever you get your chameleon, you'll be able to get crickets that are neither adult nor pinhead. Every Petco I know carries "small" crickets that are fine for a 2 or 3 month old veiled. Eventually you'll probably find it's less expensive and more convenient to buy large quantities online.

Okay they have been given the options. No one likes to be pressured and I kind of feel like we are starting to pressure the kid.

vladdimir26- you have been given everything you need to make YOUR decision.

No matter where you get your cham from give it a happy healthy home.
No matter where you get it from we will be here to help you along they way.

Happy Holidays!

This should meet all of your requirements.

Thats actually a really good deal. $85 shipped. And it's a slightly older Cham, which meets the OPs concerns!

PS: i would still offer help with this Cham also.

EDIT: I just spoke to Elliot of CNW, really nice guy. He is checking for a avaliable male and a possible current pic. He also gives the option to pay via CC or PayPal!

Yeah their all good people there, I just got a Furcifer verrucosus from them last week. The only caveat which is probably true about anybody shipping to cold regions right now, is that they're going to want to ship to a FedEx distribution center. That way your future new friend won't be in the back of a freezing truck waiting to be delivered. So if you live anywhere near one your in good shape. I live in Southern California and I still would rather pick them up then to have them delivered. When they come in you'll get this weird automated call letting you know that they have arrived and you can pick them up.
