pheonix/calci worms

I have 2 5-gallon buckets that breed them in and each bucket has what I estimate to be 2-3000 worms. I gather this because I took some to the reptile show to see if they would sell well. I took 10 small deli cups and I meticulously counted out 120 in each cup, and each bucket was still loaded with them. The bucket has several components that I made to facilitate breeding them. If you look on YouTube under BlackSoldierFly, he gives the basic design. They are very easy to breed. But to answer your main question, you can stunt their growth by reducing their temperature. You can refrigerate them from what I've heard. I never have tried it personally though.

I bought 500 of them and refrigerated half of them for a few weeks. They pretty much just stopped and were fine when they warmed up. They are easy to keep because you don't have to feed them or anything, just leave them in the box they come in.
I gave mine butternut squash though and they seemed to love it, I never bothered trying to breed them, but when flies appeared the Chams ate them too..........
No feeder could be easier........

Did they sell well? How much were you asking for 120?
