Phoenix worms and Izzie my Veiled....

Ok...so we THOUGHT we had read up on everything concerning the worm choices for Izzie. We choose phoenix worms, because they are a great supplement for her diet. We got our order today...and she LOVES them! We ordered medium size so they would maybe not grow terribly fast-keeping them cool near the A/C as well. I looking back on some 2008 posts, I run across one that says you have to prick them before feeding. Is this true? I thought they were soft-bodied worms. For those of you who use phoenix worms...what do you suggest? Not super crazy about sticking anything with a pin...but I want her to get the nutrients/calcium that I intended on her getting when I bought them. *We only feed her 3 this morning*

Misting got moisture on my feeding cup, and they all crawled out. I found them under the repticarpet, which I threw away, realizing it was a breeding ground for bacteria. Care sheets explain that they can crawl up anything that's wet, even with the smallest amount of moisture. Anyway, I let them pupate and fed the flies to my panther. They are not as nutritious, but at least I wasted less money. He seems to love hunting them.
