Hello Everyone, i currently have a 1.5-2 year old veiled cham that i rescued, i have given him crickets which he has eaten, but the past two days ive given him crickets he really has not touched them, but when i put some superworms or horned worms in front of him he is all about it, i guess what my question is can i base his diet off of the worms or does it need to be mostly crickets? and if so how do i get him to eat them. Please help

Sounds like he's a worm addict. It's pretty common, it's easy to fix though, I wouldn't feed him mostly worms, as superworms aren't the best feeders and they don't make up enough of the diet to give enough shell for harder stools. For getting them to eat crickets, I would only offer crickets, don't give into to the worm desire. Offer him crickets every day until he eats them and then maybe two days after. Then you can start reintroducing the worms.

Funny. That doesn't work for me. I do the opposite. I back off crickets for a few days and then reintroduce them. Then they are new again. I agree though not to do only worms. You could try roaches, stick bugs, or blue bottle flies. Try to mix it up as much as possible so they don't get bored. Whenever I tried to just give crickets to force him to eat them he got very stubborn. He'd eat a few to ward of starvation but most I would have fish out a bedtime.
