Pics of some WC that I picked up yesterday..

I got 87 deg. here at the home....wasnt bad at all....and with my misters goin, was actually nice

Im sure it does feel nice to stand in the middle of your misters at those temps:rolleyes:. However, at 87 degrees (under an awning with two hoses or not) chameleon species like werneri and sternfeldi wont be feeling so "cool". Regardless if they are being hydrated with serious amounts of water.

May I ask what the temp gun is reading inside your cages?

87 is way to hot for an ambient temperature. I wouldnt go much over 82 degrees in the basking spot. Of course you want a good temp gradient also. Low 70s at the bottom of the cage mid to high 70s at the top and 80 at the hot spot and of course HIGH humidity. A good night time drop is also very beneficial to these species. High temps and low humidity are very lethal to such species.

They really look nice and are great picks. It would be sad to loose them to heat stress.

Well within the species comfort zone......misting like I'm doin lowers the ambient temperature by almost 20degs. While its reading 85-88 on the Therm. on the patio.....its 75-78 depending on cage(where it is located on the misting area). I dont plan on loosing any to heat stress, if it gets outa hand, then I'll move indoors.......I'm just keeping them outside for a few days or so to dump some mega water on them........then they will be inside with humidifiers and the A/C blowing..........

She looks good! Glad you are managing to keep them cool:) That has to be a feat! How about pics of those nice werneri!!!!!

Sorry to say, but I still doubt that you can have long time success with those species with this temperatures.

I've had them inside for the rest of the week, they were outside for a short time to get some natural sun then I put them back in.........

I'll take pics of them tomorrow....sold 1 female on Thursday........
and 1 male died.....was expecting it though......he'd be hanging from hind legs on top since I had gotten him for the most part......and he died inside not outside...........temps were in low 70s and had humidifier on his and anothers cage
got to expect some to die with a WC order.....I factored in 20% loss as per Chad(vegaschad) said to do.......
