Plant for Terrarium

I am getting a panther chameleon in a couple days. Will be my first panther but not my first chameleon. I have used pothos plants in the past but am thinking of going a different route.

One of the options I am looking at is a Fiscus tree. I keep reading about how they can be finicky and so forth.

I am looking for more of a tree plant this time instead of the vines growing all over the place. Other than the fiscus tree is there some other plant that is similar that you would recommend?

Thanks for the replies.

I use a combo of both pothos and ficus.
but if you're looking for another good option, consider an umbrella schefflera plant
Id suggest also considering hibiscus, but if you think ficus is finicky maybe you don't want hibiscus either.
lemon tree might be okay
a dwarf maple or contorted filbert might work, if you give it seasonal change

Is the umbrella schefflera plant easily found at like a home depot or a big garden store? I am in Wisconsin and am worried I might have a hard time finding a plant.

Thanks for the reply.

Schefflera is pretty common. I think a big garden store would carry it.

The Ikea's here in the US have live plants, not sure about in Canada. Not sure where you live but there used to be a big Nursery Reeves. Not sure if they are a chain but there is one in Woodbridge. ( I grew up in North York)

You have a Stein's near you? The ones in Brookfield and Oconomowoc carry them.

I just got a 36" tall shefflera at Klein's in Madison (on East Washington). They're 50% off right now. If you're ever in the area, I'd go there.
Looks like this.

Usually every nursery/garden I've been to DOES NOT carry tall scheffleras. Only small (but vertical) and BIG (but horizontal). They never have the right shape AND size.

Ficus has worked awesome for me. Hardy plant.

I would almost bet your local Home Depot or lowes with have a schefflera. They're very common. Stores by me carry them all year around usually in 3 sizes

Well I ended up going with an umbrella tree to begin with. All the places by me had the Schefflera but they were huge.

Never thought of steins. Will definitely look into that when I upgrade my current cage.
