Plant sale at Home Depot

My estimated date to receive is May 8th couple days before Mother’s Day. Picked up my wife some succulents that we’re on sale as well.

Check for pests!! Ive gotten some gnarly pests from Home depot plants (im currently battling almost every plant pest atm )

I got some schefflera amate from home depot online. Like $25 for 2 plants in one pot. It looks like the plant package you referenced is randomized - not all of the plants are a good fit. I think peace lilly is toxic, but snake plant might not do as well in a cham enclosure. Maybe its just me... I seem to over water them even when I DONT water them!

Yeah, I figured at 5 and change per plant it was worth a shot and I’ll for sure double check what can safely go into enclosures. And good looking out on the pests I’ll give them a thorough look.

I've gotten two different infestations of Mealy Bugs from HomeDepot plants, this was even after I soaked/washed them in a dish soap / gneem oil bath for an hour and hosed them off. Definitely be sure to give them a thorough cleaning.

Give then a good wash with soapy water and a good blast of water. It will disrupt and dislodge most pests. Changing the soil is a good idea too as pests tend to hide in there (along with fert balls)

So here are my randomly selected plants and the 2 bromeliads I received. Still waiting on the succulents. These are going to be part of a living room decor/plant stand/free range that I plan to build. I have one more bearded dragon enclosure to build before I do that though. Those are the BD enclosures I’ve built over the past couple weekends.

Also I think the plants are Left to right. Coffee?, Snake, marginata, dieffenbachia? I’m not much of a plant guy. Trying to get better for the the reptiles sake though.

Hi! I think you have a corn plant / cane plant in that last pic. They are sensitive to minerals in water so distilled is best. Might get some brown tips otherwise, or if under watered, but you can snip the tips to make them pretty again.

Think youre right about the other one. Theyre both dracaena (spelling?) plants.
