plants for oustalet's chameleon??

none of my three oustalets like plants/foliage. They will just hang out on there open branches all day long! As they have gotten older, they don't like all the foliage and just stay in the open and sleep out in the open too!

thats how i have them now in the open but i would still like to have some plants least twords the bottom you know? and for the babies once they hatch.

I hear you on the plants. Erik Sorg was who I got all three of my Oustalet's from around 2-3 months old and he told me that his little guys always love the foliage, but as they got older he mentioned to me that his male loves just sitting on open branches all day and my guys have followed the same. When they were little they would hide all in the foliage and now, they really do just chill on the open branches and bask all day! I ended up going with some fake vines and I was able to keep humidity with a shower curtain around the cage and I have them indoors for the summer months here in AZ. I tried live plants and kept having drainage issues and gnats. With mine, I really only have the fake vines in there to have the water drip onto the leaves for drinking.

Here is what one of my guys cages looked like a few months back...

Here is what another one looked like when I removed a lot of the foliage on the interior. I put just a few fake vines/leaves in the middle and hung most from the sides of the cage... You can't really see it, but the inside is bare branches like I was talking about.

Here is what my Largest Oustalet loves... I made this little perch for him and I'm actually going to move it directly into his cage and work around the rest of his foliage. He will literally sit all day on this and just loves it! I will probably do the same for my other guys.
