Today I need help on if I should keep my plants in their pots or plant them in my cage? I have this question because I am worried my plant won't have enough room in the pot and see it hard for it to get any bigger and is wondering should I plant my plants in the cage then use potting soil to fill the gaps then cover the soil with rocks. I just want to know your opinion about it, the plants are Hibiscus, Pothos Vine, and Croton, Thanks!

The general rule is to never put soil at the bottom or any substrate, even carpet. It just causes too many problems. The only time substrate should be at the bottom of a chameleon's cage is if it is bioactive, which is a whole other subject. That said, most, including me, who do a bioactive setup, keep their plants in pots buried in the soil.

Agree with @etclement, I really think bioactive is just a fancy term for how soil should be! That said, I plant all my plants in my cage, but I do it bioaftively. Which makes for an awesome set up, for both you and your Chams. Just make sure to do it correctly if you'd go that route.
