Hello,
As some of you know, im sure I am workin on setting up a larger cage. I have all the vines and branches set up, and I am now trying to find some good sized, bushy plants for the cage. I went to a few local stores, and I havnt seen any ficuses or umbrella plants that are big enough. I saw a few cool plants that would work well, but im not sure if they are safe. I listed them below, if you know anything about them let me know:

Azelea
Nandina
China Doll (Radermachera Sinica)

Azelea - The leaves are toxic
Nandina - Not sure about this one
China Doll (Radermachera Sinica) - This is a safe plant to use

You can go to my site keepingchameleons.com and click on the plants section. there is a list of safe and toxic plants.

I think schefflera and Ficus are the best, at least my chams think so. But they're hard if not impossible to find in the winter time. I also use Pothos and Crottons. The pothos you can find easily all year around, but theyre better for hanging than bottom plants

If you can find some decent sized plants you could simply elevate them on a stand or some flower pots. At least until they have time to grow larger.

parlour palms are great. like adwarf palm tree and i'm almost certain the are non toxic. ferns are ok. boston ferns give a nice jurrassic effect haha. pothos are a nice sturdy climber

enjoy
Graeme

p.s. (edit) if you want to make pothos work as more of a climber you can always stake it. they are climbers so they will grow up anything if directed. if you get a large tree-like stick you can have pothos grow up it....sorta like a tree then haha.
