Hello Everyone!
My name is Kris and I have a 6-7 month old female Veiled Chameleon. I have a had her since she was just a month old. She’s super friendly, has a huge appetite, and her bowels are really huge. I feed her crickets, horn worms, super worms, and I also have some hornworms that are in cocoons at the moment. Also, she loves mangoes, bananas, spinach, peaches, & pears. I’ve haven’t had any success with any other type of greens yet. Anyways here is my enclosure description:
I’m not sure the first sign of mouth rot but this thing on her mouth appeared after giving her a larger horn worm. Then today we noticed it was this color inside her mouth when we took her outside for some fresh air. I have read about baytril as an antibiotic for mouth rot but I’m not going to give her anything unless I know for sure.
Any advice would surely be appreciated. Thank you!

- I have a 4ft x 2ft screened enclosure.
- It has a mixture of real and fake plants.
- I have three light sources. The T5HO lamp, a reptisun 5.0 uvb 13 watt light bulb, and a 60watt red heat lamp. I also have a blue 60w daylight bulb but I never used that because it gets a little too cold due to my AC being on 74 throughout the day. I live in St Pete Florida and it gets pretty hot in our home so we keep it on 74 during the day and 71 at night time.
- I have eco carpet.
- I do not have a drip system set up yet or a mister. I definitely would like opinions on that but I mist the cage in the morning and night. In between while I’m at work my fiancé mists her cage (he is pretty good with reptiles versus myself)
- Ummm that’s about it for now please see pictures.
