Hello to all, and I apologize for the long newbie post. Attached are several recent pics. I have several basic questions and have read the forums and think I am doing the right things. However, there are so many opinions, I would like to ask the experts to chime in. I bought a blue bar panther last October(10/2012) and was about 4 months old at the time. So now is just over a year old. It was supposed to be a male(as that is what I paid for). Can someone verify if it is a male or female?
Also, it(Moose) has very little color. Mostly showing brownish, grey, white, and occasionally red eye turrents and throat. It seems healthy otherwise. At its age, shouldn't it show at least some green? I have heard that some are late bloomers, but should I not see some green at some time? There are even times it is almost a pale white?
A little on the gross side here, but I noticed that from what I have read, their poo should look like a birds poo. Should be a white blob with a brown blob. It started out that way but now is just whiteish or chalky in color. Is this normal?
Moose is in a DIY.com 4x2x2 cage, with a DIY.com 24" dual light hood(one Zilla T8 Tropical UVB 25 bulb and the other is for the plants and is a GE aquaray 6500K bulb), a deep dome for heat and is a Zilla day white 75W, lights are on timer for 14 hours per day(7am to 9pm), 2 live photos plants close to top and a live large photos totem in center, many vines (fake and real wood and/or grapevine) scattered throughout as well as fake plants, MistKing with 2 nozzles at top/back on left and right for ample watering a humidity control(on every 3 hours for 1 minute), I use aquarium API stress coat(takes chlorine out and makes safe for fish) as recommended by pet store, it is fed primarily crickets which I dust with Zoomed reptivite w/o D3 everyday except Monday, Zoomed repticalcium with D3 every Monday, and just started Exoterra multivitamin(tiny bit every feeding mixed in with other supplement), crickets are fed papaya, carrots, greens, apples, grapes, mango, orange, and romaine lettuce(I just recently found that lettuce is a no-no, so I have stopped the lettuce) will start using greens and or green beans soon, typically put about 5 in his cage a day and there are usually a few left over(if I find that there are several in there, I remove them), occasionally I take him outside for about 30 minutes to bask in the TN sun on a dogwood tree, I clean out the poo everytime I see it as well as any dead crickets or dead plant leaves.
Any comments or help from the pro's would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks
