Please help my girl

Hello, I have a female veiled Cham, iv had her for about 9-10 months. Iv never had any problems with her but lately she hasn't been eating I thought she was ready to lay her first clutch of eggs so I added a laying bin to her cage. It's been almost a wk and she has not even gone down to the bin. I noticed she had egg shaped lumps so I thought she was ready?? She has been left alone and I have not been bothering her? She means the world to me not to tell my life story bit my dad bought her for me before he passed away so I will do anything for her!!

cage: 3x3x2 screen cage I built myself
light: reptisun 5.0 10-12 hrs a day
Sun glo basking light temp stays at 85-90
food: crickets, dubia roaches, worms
Gutloaded with a fruit n veggie recipe I got off here
Handling: none for a wk but normally everyday she is extremely friendy and asks for my attention wen I walk by she has a jungle gym of vines etc.. Above her cage she wants to come out on every morning!

Water: I mist her 2 times a day and she has a mist system

Hi, chameleons can go a good distance without food as long as they were in good health before the strike happens. If you are seeing lumps from the eggs and she is off of food she is probably going to lay anytime. The best case scenario is that you leave a bin in the cage for her to lay in. I personally think the bigger, the deeper is better when selecting a lay bin for your female. Things that are extremely important for your female to have a successful is 1. Nutrition is spot on especially with calcium absorption. This requires supplementing along with a good uvb source. 2. Proper size lay bin with moist substrate.

Your Chameleon -she is a female veiled Cham, iv had her for 9-11 months. I don't know exactly how old she was when I got her but about 3 months after I got her she got these beautiful sunburst yellow and terquios colors I believe that is when she hit sexual maturity? Whitch is around 6 months for veilds?
Handling -before I thought she was ready to lay I handled almost everyday she is very friendly and walks right onto my hand as I open her door and always comes to the front of the cage wen she sees me (the reason she is so freindly is she is aloud to(free range) everyday on a jungle gym of vines etc above her cage that I made for her(she is only required to sleep in her cage(I have dogs and a cat)
Feeding - I feed about 10-12 crickets a day, sometimes I swap for roaches, she gets wax and meal worms for treats gutloaded with a recipe I got off of here
Supplements -I use I believe rep-cal(I'm not home) one is pink one blue, I use the Cal/w d3 2 times a wk and the multi vitamin 2 times a month(2 wks apart)
Watering - I mist and have a dripper she has never been afraid to drink in front of me, she drinks all the time and she drinks water directly from me if I didn't c her drink for more then 2 days(like if I'm not home most of the day) I give it directly to her so I know she got enough.
Fecal Description - Her feces have stayed normal I'm not sure of the terms but the urates?? Correct me if I'm wrong are white
Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? No
History - I got her from petsmart and she has been very healthy iv had her around 9-11 months

Cage Info:
Cage Type - 3x3x2 screen cage, wood hand built
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 UVB 10-12 hrs every day, sunglo basking light
Temperature - I have two hydro/temp combo(not digital) one on the basking site(85 degrees) and one on the cool side almost at the bottom of her cage(68-70 degrees)
Humidity - my humidity stays around 40-50%(dried out in between)I mist 2-3 times a day and she also has a rain type dripper to add more water on leaves in back corner
Plants - I use an umbrella tree and a dreceana live plants and lots of fake plants and vines( also branches obviously)
Placement - her cage is in my living room lifted on a stand about 4 ft off ground( I don't have many ppl over so not to high traffic she has also been covered for a wk while the laying bin is inside.
Location - I live in nv

Current Problem - she has not been eating and has been in her covered cage with a laying bin for a wk and has not laid or even visited the laying bin, the bin is a 12" deep 14" wide oval. I hope I have added everything you need to know like I said I will do anything for her so I hope I didn't over load u with info but I wanted to have every possible amount of info

Gauging off your care parameters, she should lay successfully when it is time. How long has she been off of food? Have you noticed her making her way to the bottom of the cage? Please email laurie pictures of the chameleon and her set up.

Note: I would cut back the calcium with D3 supplementing to a couple times a month. If you do not have a uvb meter, you may want to change your bulb if you have not done so. How far is the bulb to her basking site and what wattage is the bulb?

I just got her a new reptisun UVB less then 3 wks ago so it's very new also it's about 6 inches away from her highest stick.is that too close? Also I will definatly cut back on the d3cal I have plain calcium spray should I use that instead and how often?

Also she does go to the bottom of her cage and now she has visited the bin once but does not scratch around at all

She hasn't eaten in a wk but she did eat one roach on the 3rd day but only one and she hasn't eaten since

A pretty consistent supplement regimen offered on the forums is plain calcium at every feeding, calcium with d3 twice a month and a mutlivitamin twice a month.

Uvb 6 inches away is fine.

If she is visiting the bottom of the cage and bin. She is inspecting her lay site. Give the gale some time she should lay for you She is probably spending more time mid cage also?

I got my frist chameleon after doing lots and lots of reserch. ive had lucy for about a year now and one day I came home and she was at the bottom of her cage not moving or anything. i felt that she was cold . Even thou my room temp is at about 78 to 80. So i picked her up wrapped her in a warm towel and put her in a box with the heat lamp over her. and thankfully she came back to it and was moving around. I dont know what happend . can any of you guys tell me what you think might of happend.

Congrats on the successful laying! I am hoping I am as lucky with mine when the time comes
