PLEASE HELP - PHILLY REPTILE STORE CLOSING

IF I can get any I'd be interested in the Jacksons chams... Still haven't talked to the hubby about it so I'll let you know. LMK how much they want for the Jacksons too if you can :)

Also if the the juvenile Jacksons is unmated. I don't have the capacity to care for babies right now.
How is it that you haven’t gotten hubby totally hooked on chameleons? I think you need to ‘gift’ him with some. If there’s no birthday or anniversary coming up, there is always Valentine’s Day…or Happy Leap year day…or Happy Wednesday/ Prince spaghetti day...Happy taco Tuesday…..

Hahahaha Happy Taco Tuesday....here's a chameleon!! I wish!!!

He is getting there ever so slowly....I've got him totally in love with my Bilbo-butt. He would love to breed them but I walked him through what that would realistically look like and he agreed we aren't in a place to take on a female that will randomly pop out 40 babies.

He is also onboard with me getting a Parsons sometime this year depending on how much of our house we fix up first. He would love a male Yellow eye or a yellow lip and I would just love any of them.

Plus he is onboard with me breeding the O'Shaughnessy's chameleon with Bill and that group. I like this idea because I can have my first breeding experience in a community so I have people to reach out for support. I also plan on passing most of my eggs of to another member of the group so I am only working with a maximum of 10 babies at a time. I believe that after a few years of breeding the O's we might dabble in breeding the Jackson's as well so that there is someone in the community providing well-cared for Jackson Xanth's but thats super super far down the road and only if all goes according to plan.

I know you didn't ask about all those things but I felt like sharing them anyhow....long story short and back to the question you originally asked...he is 'medium' hooked on chameleons, and unfortunately he is very smart and not impulsive at all...which is the opposite of me.... 🤣 Can you tell I'm all over the place today??

Funny story! My partner is also falling for Griffin AND he just gave me his "this doesn't sound like a bad idea" (he's not very excitable like I am haha) for me to take on my next Reptiles! He's on board for two and I BELIEVE I found the ones I'm getting T. Hoehnelii! Also on board with me trying to build the 2 enclosures for them and see what we can whip up! VERY VERY VERY excited

So what exactly are you hoping to do with this thread? See if anyone would be willing to take them on if you go and buy them all? Or are you already considering going and purchasing them and the cages with lighting?

Yes, my intial stated purpose for this thread was…

“All of their chameleons and equipment are for sale and I got a bulk price for all of them and their enclosures. If you’re interested in any of this, let me me know. I’m willing to buy them all and give them a foster home until you’re able to get what you want.”

I am meeting the store owner tomorrow or Thursday to evaluate what I can and can’t do. There are 7 chameleons which need rehoming:

One adult Nosey Be
One juvenile ambilobe
Two adult male Jacksons
One adult female Jacksons
One juvenile female Jacksons
One pied female (named Tonya)

Oh my! I would love a nosey but I'm not ready for another at this time. Please tell us when they find homes for them all 💗

I met the Nosey. He is very shy and bit the ever loving heck out of the store employee who took him out of his enclosure. I did not handle him but my God is he beautiful. Like shocking blue beautiful with black bars. I feel like he’s just out on display with passersby in the store and is uncomfortable. If he had a relaxed home environment away from foot traffic he would probably be a sweetheart. Dunno though, he’s already 1 year old. Can you teach an old cham new tricks?

You have done exceptionally well the last year here... IF you are interested in getting a second cham and just looking for additional support from us in getting a 2nd I am happy to provide all the emotional support needed. :)
