Yes-PLEASE take it to the Vet-I am afraid that answering the above questions will only help you figure out why you lost her.

Does she have a place to dig to lay eggs in her cage? They can produce eggs even when not mated and can become eggbound if they have no place to lay them.

I re-read your post and I agree that she should go to a vets....ASAP!
I asked about the place to dig because I was wondering if she could be eggbound (and also to make you aware that you should have one for her).
She might be too weak to lay eggs right now even if she needs to.

just got back from the vets and he took a few xrays, he said it was folicullar stacius, sorry about the spellin, but it means that she is carryin eggs but they havent grown a shell so they are classed as cysts.
he could operate but she wouldnt live much longer after recoverin so he said to take her home and see if she will pull through on her own by layin the eggs if they finish growin.

so ive just put 2 large layin sites of 50/50 play sand and peat in her enclosure, he said to switch over to a mercury vapour bulb, but i thought they were bad?

mercury vapor bulbs arent bad if you get ones designed for chams. ive used them before(sunforce) and had no ill effects.

i no but he said the 10.0 strip lights and heat bulbs were a waste of time, even though every man and there dog uses them!
i might give it a try still.
