PLEASE HELP

He fought bravely,
Millard left us for a better life at 1:10pm this afternoon.
Thank you for your prayers.
I'm just glad his suffering is over.

People are thinking that because they don't believe that someone would actually put their cham in hot water to swim around.
My JacksonHe was different.
I didn't criticise until you started with the swearing.
I am 38. Seems like you might be the youngster.

Many people had constructive things to say. You chose to ignore them. Some of the most respected members of the forum chimed in to help you. You don't care to listen.

** note: I dint need the use of profanity to convey my message..**

I am sorry for your loss, but really.... did you even have a clue?
if you didn't then its obviously not directed toward you. I followed the advice.

He would often sit in the sink and just immerse his body into the water. Maybe none of you had the relationship with your chameleon like I did. But please do not disrespect him by saying its a troll. And yes I chose to convey my words in profanity because it's the only appropriate response to fucking idiots who feel the need to interject unnecessary comments.

It is unfortunate that you had to go through this. But some of the things you were doing were just beyond wrong.

Profanity just makes you look even more silly than you already do.

Having a relationship with your cham doesn't mean putting it in harms way.

I can see your upset. But we are not your enemies. You need to understand that sometimes there is no advice to give besides "take him to a vet". If a vet were to have read your post the only advise you would have got was the same as what I just said.
I'm sure you guys had a special bond. But you have to realize just because your having a good time at the moment with him doesn't mean he is too. I know you would like to think so because we all would. Trust me they don't want to sit in water. It's extremely unnatural and can cause I nessicary stress plus now you know accidents happen. Hopefully this is a lesson learned for you. We all go through the same thing in one way or the other. It's just crucial we learn from our mistakes.
I am very sorry for your loss.

Chameleon Swimming

Out in the Magaliesburg mountain range, South Africa, from a simple beauty video, this turns into an amazing lucky find of a chameleon swimming across the water in the wild. Nature truly at its best.

Interesting. I never knew a chameleon could swim.

If you plan to get another one please do your research to correct your behavior, understanding of the species, and husbandry. And save enough money to afford a vet trip. That is responsible pet ownership. If you cant be a responsible pet owner that is unwilling to take advice that could have prevented your animals death, then you are not ready to own this animal. I am sorry for your preventable loss.

And just FYI - like us or not - our "unnecessary commentary" (as you dubbed it) about your ideas on "swimming" are necessary because newbies look to this site for advice.

Threads like yours could confuse a newbie who unlike many newcomers here recently, are trying to do proper research.

That cham in that vid def wasn't swimming because it wanted too...it was doing what it needed to do for survival...prob fell in and was relieved as hell when it finally reached the brush. To the OP, what may have looked like he "liked to swim" was most likely more a survival instinct to stay afloat and head above water. As I was reading and looking through the pics, I couldn' help but think he may have had some level of a stroke. Sucks you had to go through this, but double sucks for your cham. :(

You understand that a chameleon's feet have evolved over time specifically for grasping and holding branches and vines, right?

I doubt your chameleon was willingly "swimming" or "submerging itself" in the sink. In all liklihood what was happening was his feet were unable to grip or find purchase of the slippery porcelain of your sink, causing him to slip down.
