My year old veiled chameleon is acting very strange it seems like she can't use her front feet she doesn't open her hand to try to grab branches she just puts her hand net it and looks as though she if trying to force her hand on to it, I just bought her two days ago and since I got her I have fed her once with calcium D3 dusted crickets I have a reptisun 5.0 uvb uva bulb plus a second heating bulb. I also use a supplement in her water. I'm not sure why she is acting like this but it just worries me.she hasn't been acting like this for very long but I am still worried.

so you only have 1 supplement? or only use 1?

I use

1-Miner-All Outdoors
1-Rep-Cal Calcium Without D3
1-Rep-Cal Calcium WITH D3
1-Rep-Cal Herptivite

then I substitute if I do take them outdoors.

as far as water goes I only use Reptisafe Water Conditioner, provides essential ions and electrolytes which help to hydrate newly acquired animals

As you just got her, I wonder if she's not just getting adjusted to her new surroundings and getting a bit freaked out by the human who's now peering into her cage? Mine freeze when they realize I'm around, regardless of what they are doing (particularly funny when they are, in fact, eating or pooping).

Try putting a chair a couple of feet in front of her cage, settling yourself in with a soda, maybe a book....and let her forget that you are there. After 15, 20 minutes, observe her from the chair and see if she doesn't move a bit better when she's not sweating your presence.

Oh, and HI!!!

I only have one right now the perty shop was out when I went in so I am ordering them off the internet and I also use reptisafe water conditioner.

Thank you for the suggestion Elizadolots :) but I have been that since I got her I haven't osted attention to see if she was later but I will.

Well...typically we suggest chameleons get a week to adjust to their new digs... You've had yours for 2 days.

So, give her some space. Don't over think it.

Oh, and your image link didn't work....

Unfortunately all I have is a mobile for my internet needs and it won't allow me to put photos up but I will post all info I have in the morning.
