please hurry up, need help, he is not eating or drinking

now he is in his new cage for one day , I'm takinghim out and put the worms near of him but he is not eating them he sees them and let them away.

I can't take out the light because if I put it ontop of it it will burn the screen (((it's not made from aluminum ))) and there is 5 inches away from him.

Please don't take him out and try to feed him. Place the feeders inside the cage.

I agree with Julirs, taking the Chameleon out of his enclosure creates stress. This might be a reason why he isn't eating.

I'm really afraid I saw him yeterday standing on the branch and now he still like his move from yesterday, he looks like he is weak he is not walking to much he is just .......... I don't know he is no moving

Mohamed, I know you don't want to give up on this animal and I'm not saying you should, but whoever you bought him from, sold you a very sick animal. They sold him to you as a veiled chameleon and he's not a veiled. They sold him to you as healthy and he is far from healthy. You need to contact who you bought him from and try to come to an agreement. It doesn't sound like he's going to make it. Just chalk it up to a learning experience and start with a good healthy animal. Good luck and let us know if we can help. David

Well mohamed, have you done any of the things we said you should try? A shower could work wonders, you never know. But the guy who sold you the cham is just a darn idiot and doesnt know anything, its not your fault,do more research and work, and youll be a good owner:)

You have never told us where the animal came from.
My guess is an open market or street fair.
They used to sell (probably senegal) chameleons outside of Madison Square Garden. They were on little chains that you could pin to your blouse and wear them as jewelry.
They still sell baby painted turtles in little plastic cups on Canal Street (or at least they were last time I was on Canal street)
If my suspicions are right you cannot return this animal.
It is surely Wild Caught and possibly beyond acclimation (a job for only very experienced keepers)
Since you don't want to share with us where the animal came from, and you don't want to tell us what you're trying to do to help it (if you are trying any of the advice you've been given)
You don't seem to think there is a qualified vet anywhere near you ....
I don't know what else we can do.
I'm sorry.

You guys are awesome and I know you are trying to help me from all of your heart.

But I don't know where it came from he didn't tell me ,and now I will try the shower.

Thankzz guys

I would. Just to make sure he doesn't fall, because since he is already bad enough. Do you have a mist adjustment on your showerhead? If you do, put it on that and then have a plant there, then just let him suck it up! :)

Place him in his cage with a few of the "worms", make sure the temps are not too high, and leave him alone for awhile.

Ya, leave him alone, let him soak it up. In maybe 30 Minutes to an hour spray down the whole cage with warm water. Maybe, lets see what Julirs says.

OK I have done it and he still not eating, Do you I'm thinking that maybe he is blind or some thing like this, because her eyes are always close, I'm puttting my finger near his eyes mmmmmmm.................... nothing ,he is not moving or making anything.

Let him get used to the water. Leave him alone for a while and check back on him in a couple of hours. They know when you are there so he might be timid. Give hims some time and he might eat. Do you have crickets that you could feed him because he might like those better?

Has he ever opened his eyes? Because if not...then its more serious,id see if his eyes were open and juts sunken in,it wouldnt be AS bad. But, if I were you,id find the closest qualified yet,it might be in another state, its what youll have to do. I had to take Louie to a vet in virginia(i live in maryland) and it was bout an 1-2 hour trip.

NOw i have talked to the man who sold me the cham. and I said to him that he is not drinking, not eating, not opening his eyes, sick.

He said there is no wrong with him and he is not opening his eyes because it's cold and he need hot weather.
And he said also there will be no problems if he didn't eat for 3 days.

But I don't know I will see about it.

Can you tell me what kind is he,if he wasn't vield, he said he is vield cham ???

All I can say for sure is the guy is full of bull. That cham is in very bad shape and like someone else said there is a good chance he won't make it.

You were sold a very sick animal.
The man who sold it to you does not sound like a very reputable person to do business with and he is giving you incorrect information.
I suspect the chameleon is wild caught and that it is Chamaeleo chamaeleo saharicus (but I'm not sure).
The animal's eyes should be open all the time during the day and it should be eating and drinking (if it was healthy).
I do not believe this chameleon is going to make it.
I am sorry.
I tried to search for qualified veterinarians in Kuwait and could not locate any.
I'm not sure a vet could help at this point.
Keep trying to get him to drink, that's all you can do now (besides keeping him warm) but I don't believe he will make it, and you should try to get your money back if you can.
I'm sorry you are having this experience.
It's very unfair that you should be dealing with this.
As I said before, we will be happy to help you know how to choose a healthy animal in the future.

He's full of shit!! Healthy chams never close their eyes in the daylight! Your temps are fine. Nobody can tell for sure what kind he is but he's definately not a veiled. His casque would be MUCH taller than it is now, no matter the age.
