pls talk on here(for joe)

k thanks i might do tommorow got a splittin headache.

Hope you feel better and it will help things along immensely to know what you are working with so you dont have to try to explain so much.:) Go get some rest

Well, drainage can be accomplished in multiple ways. One easy method is to drill a few .5 cm hole on the bottom, place the cage on a rack and have something under the hole to catch the water.

Ventilation is more for air flow. If your cage is all wood then yes, you will need to drill multiple ~6cm holes and cover them with screen to allow proper air circulation.

Does your cage have opened sides or does it have glass or plexi for the sides?

A screen on top is absolutely necessary to allow proper UVB exposure and will help a little with the air circulation, but if you have solid sides you need to open up some holes to make it right.

What size is the cage you have now? You may have mentioned it before but I must've missed it...

It's good that you have time. My advice to anyone who has never cared for a cham before is to read, read some more, ask questions, setup the cage, and when you think youre ready to buy one, wait another week or two and read some more!! ;)

Good luck and let us know how things progress...

Luis

it wont let me join photobucket due to information that i have givin to them...

Most chams aren't kept in wood or plastic cages, especially in the US. If you are in the US, it should be easy to find a suitable cage. I personally think that cages should be setup to drain because you should be providing enough water during the day that a enclosed cage bottom would flood due to run off water. This is whether you mist or use a dripper.

is there ay other picture websites to subscribe to??? i messed up with photobucket :(

some of the items look like fish tank decor..... you need plants an vines. don't bother with any of that italian architecture you have there...

Joe: Yea you are going to have to figure out a way to remove the top and replace with screen or mesh to allow UVB and heat through. Nice cage though. Drainage, Im not sure. Does the tank actually goe further than the glass or is there a base/stand where the glass ends?

Kev: He is in England.

no no its goes down about an exta 10cm and up an extra 10cms. do you need any more pics? if so, tell me what angle and what of and ile do it ( i can work a camera!! :) )

and yes some of the little castles and whatnot were from a bearded dragon so i dont know if they would be suitable for a cham?? ive cleaned them all, also there is a waterfall and a heatmat in there im taking them out as soon as posible i just aint had the time yet! :)

No chams needs plants and vines and lighting..thats it.. and a laying bin if its female..

can you take a pic of the inside base so maybe someone can help you with a drainage issue? Is the wood treated so it wont mildew from misting..
Is the opening in the back? Im wondering how you are going to get food and water into it...Ah Its the top lift up I see...Wow...I dont know dude..You need the top to be something that will allow the bask and UVB bulb through and need an acess easier than that.. Maybe you can cut a door into the side and hinge it and close with a slide lock or something? Im no Bob Vila (if you even know who that is) so I dont know man. Its a nice looking setup but thats a hard one to get right..at least for me with all the modifications it needs..

k ile take pics of the top, bottom, left, right (inside) and drainage? (everything inside lol)

as i said before some are darker and on wierd angles just turn your head and "sqwint" lol
